Hello lovely readers! Today I’m excited to finally give you a sneak peek inside the Pretty Little Details home studio!
Like my personal style, my decorating style is both feminine and eclectic. The apartments we saw during our recent trip to Paris have also been a huge source of inspiration for our home. Parisians know how to effortlessly layer new and old pieces to create a perfectly styled space and the weathered painted brick & ornate dresser we chose are reminiscent of design details frequently seen in french apartments.
It was really important to me that my studio space was functional. The double curtain rod lets me adjust how much light I let in for photoshoots and the oversized desk helps me stay organized when I have multiple projects on the go. Because I’m in the process of launching my first jewelry collection *EDIT: Just launched my jewelry collection!!!* finding storage for all of the jewelry was a big deal. Luckily, this vintage dresser worked perfectly in the space and gave me extra room to keep most of my current stock together in one place.
I love using paint to make a bold statement on walls & transform simple furniture into stand-out pieces, but in my new studio, I wanted to use paint to create a bright, neutral space. My studio walls were all painted with CIL paint colour “Touch of Grey” and I love how it keeps everything feeling light and airy. Like with my wardrobe, the decor in my house is constantly changing and and I love how the light grey paint colour is so versatile and matches with absolutely everything.
It’s also important to me to add pieces into a room that have a story behind them. Refurbished vintage pieces add so much character into a space! My white dresser was a Kijiji find that was looking very tired when I found it, but a can of untinted CIL Premium paint quickly brought back it’s lustre. A little paint can make a big difference and a gallon of CIL Premium paint (currently only $29 at The Home Depot!) is such simple & cost effective way to refresh an old piece of furniture and complete a room.
Right now, CIL paint is running a contest where you can win an interior design consultation as well as $5000 to spend at The Home Depot! To enter, all you need to do is share your paint project (using a can of CIL Premium Paint!) on social media with the hashtag #CILPremiumBeauty! The contest ends November 29th, but you can see the full rules & details here. Good luck!!

All your pics transported me to a make believe world of beauty and finesse. Thanks for sharing.
What a lovely room. I think where you work and what you see around you when you look up is so important for inspiration and peace of mind, and your room is all about creation and inspiration.
Love. I am in love with your office but more so your dog. So white and fluffy.
