The Art of Accessorizing // from Desk to Dinner

When it comes to my wardrobe, I love finding pieces that I can style multiple ways. Today, I’m taking you all inside my office to share what a typical day-to-day outfit looks like… before & after I leave my house!

Since I mostly work from home, I like to keep things simple when it comes to office attire. When you are trying to stay focused on the project at hand, comfort is definitely important! Amidst all the other distractions, the last thing you need to worry about is jeans that are restrictive or a bracelet that keeps getting in your way as you are typing on your computer. There is definitely a stereotype that people who work from home wear their pyjamas all day, but I think I it’s important to put a little bit of effort into getting dressed in the morning – even if there is no one to see you!

My office uniform is generally the same every day. You will almost always find me typing away in a pair of black yoga pant (hello comfort!) and a cute sweater or blouse. I almost never wear jewellery around the house and instead wait to layer my favourite pieces right before I head out the door.

On this particular day, I spent the day working wearing a comfortable (but still stylish) tunic layered over my favourite black tights. Come evening, it only took a few minutes to dress this simple look up. First, I swapped my yoga pants for some trendy velvet leggings, then added a chic leather jacket. For accessories, an oversized sparkly necklace from my new jewellery collection (that is launching this week!!!) and a little lipstick was all this look needed to go from day to night!
