This is it! I’ve been showing a few sneak peeks of Emilia’s nursery on my Instagram, but today I’m finally revealing the entire space! My dream for this room was for it to be both feminine and whimsical. I wanted to fill it with decor pieces that weren’t super childish, and tried to instead choose items that she could use and love for years to come. Welcome to Emilia’s nursery!
The room is filled with vintage pieces that I refinished myself. Both the dresser and the rocking chair were Kijiji finds (Canada’s version of Craigslist) while the side table was found at an antique store. I loved the gorgeous vintage shape of our rocking chair but it was definitely a labour of love. The previous owner, an elderly lady informed me that her grandparents brought the rocking chair to Canada in the late 1800’s. After taking the entire chair apart, I found the seat was stuffed with horse hair… they certainly don’t make chairs like that anymore!
The large artwork over Emilia’s dresser is an incredible custom designed piece painted by my mom! I gave her a few paint swatches of the colour palette I was looking for and she created this amazing blush pink masterpiece. I love the abstract marble print and all the layers of dusty pink and soft blush. It truly is a stand out piece that grounds the entire space.
The rug we chose for Emilia’s nursery is from Natural Area Rugs and it is so incredibly soft and fluffy. I love the warm white colour and the thick plush pile. It feels so good under your feet and it will be absolutely perfect for her to play on as grows older!
Overall, I’m so happy with how Emilia’s nursery turned out! It is the perfect space for our little girl to grow up in 🙂
As always, I’ve linked all the shopping details for her room below. I hope you loved seeing her little space as much as I loved designing it!

What type of artificial or real flowers are those?
They are real peonies 🙂
Where did you get the wallpaper from?
I would love to know what the grey wall colour is,please. Also, how did you achieve the look of the rocking chair/paint colour?
Hi Sarah! The grey wall colour is CIL Paint “Touch of Grey”. The rocking chair is a vintage find that I reupholstered. I used gold Rust-oleum spray paint on the frame.
