Hello darlings!  Today I’m starting a new series rounding up the best summer trends for 2018.  Each week I’ll be focusing on a different trend that is in style this season.  To start off this series, the first trend I’m featuring is the wrap skirt!

The wrap skirt is very versatile and comes in so many different styles.  One style that is very popular this year features ruffles along the hem of the skirt.  Another style that is currently in vogue is the asymmetrical hem wrap skirt.  Its boxy shape is a cool modern take on the classic wrap skirt.

Retailers are currently offering wrap skirts in so many different fabric choices.  The most timeless of which are lightweight fabrics with either a floral or striped print (like the one I wore in this outfit post!).  For today’s post I’m wearing a gingham print faux wrap skirt that is actually a skort!  To be honest, I haven’t worn a skort since I was a pre-teen, but it is nice to not worry about your skirt riding up or blowing away!
