Pixi Beauty recently released a few new makeup products including some sparkly liquid eyeshadows and shimmery highlighter compacts. Both these new product lines sounded perfect for summer inspired makeup looks so I thought I would share my first impressions. Today I’m reviewing the Pixi Liquid Fairy Lights eye shadow and the Pixi Glow-y Gossamer duo highlighters.

Pixi Liquid Fairy Lights
After trying the Pixi Liquid Fairy Lights eyeshadows I am overall quite impressed with the product. My favourite colour is a toss up between Crystaline (the shimmery white one) and Rose Gold (which has a soft coppery hue). I haven’t played too much with the darker shades too much since I prefer to wear lighter colours on my lids. I did however wear the rose gold shadow during a photoshoot last week so you can see what it looks like on (I’ll be sharing the photos in my next outfit post)!
The Fairy Lights eyeshadow dries pretty fast and stays put quite well. Blending is a bit difficult however because of the texture of the product. If you are looking for a more blended look I’d recommend layering the Fairy Lights shadow over top of powder eyeshadow that you have already blended well.
I personally don’t love how the product looks when applied straight from the tube. It has a wand applicator that works great for getting the product onto your eyes but I find it looks a bit clumpy when applied. I found it looked best when you used your fingers to lightly dab the product along your eyelids instead.
Overall, I would recommend purchasing if you are looking for a product to add a little sparkle to your eyelids.
Pixi Glow-y Gossamer Duo
The Pixi Glow-y Gossamer Duo is a beautiful highlighter with two shimmery tones. Delicate Dew is a more bronzy palate while Subtle Sunrise has more pinkish hues. For my ultra-fair skin I preferred using the lightest colour in Subtle Sunrise duo as a highlighter. I have used the darker colours but found they looked best worn on the apples of my cheeks instead of along my cheekbone to give more of an overall glow.
All in all, the Pixi highlighters have quite a nice texture and they give a subtle natural glow without too much sparkle. They are a great pick for a drugstore highlighter.
So, have you tried either of these products? What was you opinion? Is there a highlighter or sparkly shadow you prefer to use? Leave me a comment and let me know!

I haven’t tried Pixi products yet but I’m loving the looks of those eyeshadows!
I want to try that highlighter so badly! I can’t wait until it shows up at my Target. I hadn’t really though about the eye shadows but I’m a sucker for rose golds – might just have to pick one up!!
I am going to the US soon and the Pixie Glossamer Duo is on my list to get, it looks so pretty 🙂 xx, Theresa
I LOVE Pixi products and the colors are so pretty! The Liquid Fairy Lights seem to have a great color range! Shame they don’t blend as well but at least they’re long-lasting!
I had fun playing with this box as well and I feel the same way about the Liquid Fairy Lights, I much prefer them as toppers. I love the Glow-y Gossamer Duo and actually apply them to my eyelids as eye shadow and as a highlighter on my cheekbones. They are great when I’m in a rush!
I love a good sparkly shadow, so those fairy lights products are totally perfect for me!
