Arizona is one place I tend to travel to quite frequently. My parents especially love the Arizona desert, so I’ve traveled with them quite a few times to the beautiful Grand Canyon State. On our most recent trip, we decided to bring our daughter Emilia along with us and stayed in the Scottsdale area for a fun mini vacation. Today, I’m sharing all of my favourite places and things to do in sunny Arizona. Here is my pretty little guide on where to shop, eat and sleep in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Pretty places to shop in Scottsdale:
Kierland Commons is a charming outdoor mall worth strolling through on a warm summer evening. With string lights draped between palm trees it is a picturesque shopping experience. Many of my favourite stores, including designer boutiques are found at the Scottsdale Fashion Square. A few of my favourites to check out include high street brands such as Ted Baker and Kate Spade as well as designer boutiques such as Prada and Saint Laurent.
Pretty place to eat in Scottsdale:
Phoenix has a great variety of delicious eateries but some of my favourites are as follows. First I would recommend The Mission for a delicious selection of Latin inspired dishes (I highly recommend the mole duck confit!). For fresh local menus, my two other favourites would be the Herb Box and Olive & Ivy. Those with a sweet tooth will also want to stop by Ruze cake house – an Instagram worthy bakery with adorable bright decor and delicious macarons.
Pretty places to stay in Arizona:
When visiting Scottsdale you will of course need somewhere to stay. Two beautiful boutique hotels I would recommend are Hotel Adeline or the very Instagramable Scott Resort. For a more luxury option the Scottsdale Four Seasons is a lavash choice. Of course, hotels aren’t the only option for where to stay in Scottsdale. There are plenty of charming affordable AirBnb’s available in the area (click here to 15% off your AirBNB!). This cute condo in Old Town or this bright South Scottsdale home are both great finds.
Pretty places to explore in Scottsdale:
You can’t visit Arizona without experiencing the stunning desert landscapes that encompass the state. I recommend visiting Pinnacle Peak for a sunrise hike with a great view. It’s a fantastic way to get your sweat on and experience Scottsdale from a different perspective. Fun fact, my husband actually proposed to me on the top of a mountain in Arizona!
