Now that summer is over I’m feeling a bit of FOMO.Everyone has been asking lately, “What did you do this summer?” and I literally can never come up with a decent answer.I’ve been wondering, did I really make the most of my summer? Did I actually do ANYTHING? Last week I finally scrolled back through my iPhone calendar to check what the heck I actually did this summer and realized that whew, I actually did do things. Being a mom means summer looks a little different than it used to but looking back we had tons of fun. From taking a day trip on a vintage steam train to visiting farmers markets and watching the ballet in the park. This summer was certainly one for the books. But with September here, it’s time to move on and make this fall season amazing. Here’s what I’m currently up to.
Reading // Currently I’m in the middle of reading “Give a sh*t”. Its a modern book about how we can do our part to make the planet a better place and live a sustainable lifestyle. Expect a bit of crude language along with a lot of great tips about living a healthier more eco friendly life.
Organizing // Something about a fresh new season has me wanting to freshen up my house. Recently I discovered “The Home Edit” on Instagram and I suddenly have been wanting to organize (and label!) everything. The first room on my list is my walk in pantry. I just purchase these wicker baskets for storing all our extra snacks and baking things and love that they are a bright white colour instead of the typical natural tone.
Pinning // Above is a snapshot of what I’m pinning right now. Lately I’ve been inspired by warmer colour palates, cozy feeling interiors and messy undone hair.
Watching // I stumbled upon the TV show “Undercover Billionaire” and the concept has me genuinely intrigued. I love how scrappy and determined the protagonist is about achieving his mission of building a million dollar business in 90 days. I can’t wait to see if he actually meets his goal.
Planning // Now looking forward to fall activities here are a few of the things on my fall bucket list:
– get lost in a corn maze
– visit a pumpkin patch
– take photos in a pile of leaves
– drink a PSL
– carve pumpkins
– have a bonfire
– go trick or treating
So what’s inspiring you this fall? Do you have any special activities on your fall bucket list? Leave me a comment below telling me what you are up to this September.
