When it comes to skincare, I have a hard time committing to one product. I feel like I’m always trying new products in search for the next best thing. So for 30 days I committed to using the same skincare products every day to see the effect on my skin. Two of the products I decided to test were Caudalie Premier Cru the Rich Cream and Caudalie Grape Water.
Since turning 30, I’ve made an effort to include more anti-aging products in my skincare routine. Whether it’s due to good genes or a decent skincare routine I’ve managed to avoid many wrinkles thus far. So for now, I’ve mostly been choosing anti-aging products as a preventative measure instead of as a retroactive treatment. One constant skin struggle of mine is perpetual dryness. As a flight attendant, my skin often feels tight or flakey due to the constant low humidity environment at 35,000 feet. For the above reasons, I thought the Caudalie Premier Cru and Grape water would be great products to try and incorporate into my skincare routine. Here is my full review of my experience trying products from Caudalie Paris.
Caudalie Premier Cru the Rich Cream Review
Touted as the ultimate anti-aging care for dry skin this luxurious face cream is divine. The heavy glass packaging feels expensive and the cream is thick and sumptuous. After a long day, taking off your makeup can sometimes feel like a chore, but this cream had me looking forward to my daily skincare routine. Since first trying it, it has become part of my nighttime self-care ritual.
The Rich Cream is currently sold for $169 CAD, thus it is a bit of a splurge. However I am impressed by how much of the moisturizing cream is actually inside of the container. The cream itself is a creamy golden colour that melts into your skin as you apply it. As it is indeed a very rich cream, I preferred to wear it as a night cream instead of as a daytime moisturizer. When wearing overnight, I noticed my complexion was glowing and my makeup applied much smoother the next day.
One thing I like about the Caudalie brand is that they do not use mineral oils or parabens in their products. However their products generally tend to include perfume. While I know many people love their skincare products to smell amazing, I personally prefer fragrance free skincare. For that reason, it is worth mentioning that Caudalie Premier Cru the Rich Cream does have a noticeable fragrance.
Overall, I would definitely recommend trying Caudalie Premier Cru the Rich Cream if you have dry skin and are looking for a luxurious anti-aging skincare product to incorporate into your evening routine.
Caudalie Paris Grape Water Review
The second new item I incorporated into my skincare routine was the Caudalie Paris Grape Water. A cult favourite, Grape Water is packaged in an aerosol can that you can use to spray your skin with a light mist of refreshing moisture. Ringing in at only $24 for the largest bottle, the price is a great value for the size of the product.
Caudalie Grape Water is the best hydrating mist I have personally ever tried. The spray is very fine and feels refreshing on your skin. When spraying mid-day, I liked that the product didn’t cause my makeup to slide around or move. Unlike most other Caudalie products, there is next to no scent in the grape water. I love that the ingredients in the Grape Water are simple. In fact it only contains three ingredients: grape water, grape juice and nitrogen.
For those reasons, I highly recommend trying Caudalie Grape Water if you are looking for an easy to use product to give your skin a bit of additional moisture throughout the day.
Where purchase Caudalie Paris products in Canada:
If you are looking to purchase Caudalie Paris products in Canada Beauty Sense is the best place to shop since they offer free shipping on absolutely all orders (no matter how big or how small!). Since they are Canadian based, you don’t have to worry about paying duty. Beauty Sense is also great for stocking up on a few of my other skincare staples like Bioderma Micelle Water or Coola sunscreen.
