The last time I shared photos of my studio on the blog was back in 2015 and looking back at the photos two things stand out. One is that I can’t believe we have been living in our current house for over 5 years already. The second is that our office has barely changed since we first moved in! Even the gallery wall is almost exactly the same as it was in those photos 5 years ago.
I recently stumbled upon the One Room Challenge, a decor challenge put together by bloggers with the goal of renovating one room in their house in eight weeks while sharing the process together online. And with our office space just begging for a refresh, I thought this challenge would be the perfect opportunity to give the room the love it deserves.
We have decided to transform the office into a combined use space. It will be part office and part guest bedroom with lots of space for working on upcoming Pretty Little Details creative projects. Even more importantly we’ve decided to majorly upgrade the vibe in the space. While the space is currently bright and preppy, soon it will be transformed into a more relaxing and softly feminine space.
Now cue the before photos!
So the before isn’t terrible, but there’s obviously still a lot of work to be done. Here are the things currently on my to do list:
– create all new artwork for the gallery wall
– remove the Pretty Little Details logo from the brick wall
– make new curtains to replace the bright coral ones
– shop for a bed, headboard and linens
– shop for new office chairs
– restyle everything and make it pretty
Make sure to check back next week to see my inspiration for the space. I can’t wait to share this transformation with you all!

With a “Before” this cute already, I can’t wait to see the “After!”
