One of the best parts of being a girl mom is dressing up your daughters in adorable outfits. And when I find a matching outfit that is just as cute on me as it is on them, I always feel like I’ve hit the jackpot. So today, I’m sharing a few of my favourite places to shop for matching mommy and me outfits.
Where to shop for matching mommy and me clothing
In the past few years, mommy and me styles have become much more widely available. Many mass fashion retailers have jumped on the trend and now offer similar styles in baby, child and adult sizes. Here are of a few of my favourite places to shop online for
1. Ivy City Co
I’ve been following Ivy City Co on Instagram for years and they have some of the prettiest mommy and me styles I’ve ever seen. Their dresses are unique with more intricate details than you would find at a typical national retailer. I’m currently obsessed with this embroidered dress which would be so perfect for a summer family photoshoot.
2. Old Navy
If you are looking for matching family outfits on a budget, Old Navy is a great place to look. Not only are their options affordable, they also offer matching styles for men and boys. I especially love Old Navy’s matching pyjamas for the holiday season.
3. Nothing Fits But
Nothing Fits But is a boutique that I stumbled upon earlier this year and I am obsessed with their soft, vintage aesthetic muslin dresses. This dress has easily been my most worn dress of the summer (peep me wearing it here!). It’s so perfect for new moms since it is breastfeeding friendly and has a very forgiving shape for hiding a postpartum belly. I didn’t purchase the matching toddler & baby dresses but they look equally beautiful and soft as the mama one.
4. The Gap
Another well known store to shop for matching family outfits is the Gap. Currently their fall matching collections consist mostly of cozy sweaters and matching loungewear but during summer they often have adorable dresses that are available in all sizes – including petite and tall options for mamas. All our outfits in today’s blog post came from their matching family summer collection and I love how the patterned cotton dresses are pretty, but still simple enough for everyday wear.
